The Beginning — At the Source of Our Resonance

SJG traces its roots back to 1976, with the establishment of Sejong Industrial Co., Ltd. Founded by Honorary Chairman Park Se-jong, the company was built upon his experience at Hyundai Motor Company and became Korea’s first automotive muffler specialist company. Starting with the production of mufflers for Korea’s first uniquely designed vehicle, PONY, SJG went on to manufacture mufflers for Cortina and Porter 1-ton truck, developing alongside the Korean automotive industry.

1981: Establishment of Sejong Industrial’s CI

In 1981, Sejong Industrial introduced a corporate identity (CI) featuring three bells encircled by a ring. This symbol was designed to represent the living Earth, and embodied Sejong’s core values of Creativity, Sincerity, and Harmony. It also expressed Sejong’s aspiration to stand tall at the center of the world. However, as affiliates grew independently over time, each adopted its own name and CI. As a result, the unified image of the group gradually faded.

2024: Introduction of a New CI

After nearly 48 years of using independent company names and corporate identities, SJG has reached a turning point toward unification under a single brand. In 2024, SJG introduced a new CI that embodies trust, innovation, integration, and a forward-looking vision for the future.
